The world can be saved.
Now, I am not talking about spiritual salvation, but rather physical salvation. We are proactive creatures, we are creators, we are the engineers of tomorrow. We are the savers of the world. We as humans have been given the gift of thought. This thought allows us to create and solve problems based on our decisions.
Creating problems is something we know how to do at a very young age. From the moment we are born, we are curious. We want to know what is electricity, what is light, what is energy. We experience these things first-hand, at times, to our parents dismay. I should say we are curious destroyers. We want to feel if boiling water is hot. We want to taste dirt and worms, which is altogether an acquired taste. And later we want to see what happens when two atoms are separated and slammed back together. It is exponentially easier to destroy than to create. It is so much easier to give in to destructive behavior. Easier to give up on the people who care about us. Easier to forfeit ourselves, our creative ability, than it is to strive forward. As kids we discover that life is, and often adults forget, what you create it.
Our unquenchable thirst for discovery causes us to become fascinated with the world as it is, and what it could be. At one point I remember asking my dad, "Dad, do you think we'll have flying cars in the future?", after watching Back To The Future. He responded reassuringly, "Maybe. We've done pretty good so far to make things fly." We want to build cities on clouds, ways of having water where there is no water, we want to discover. Discovering new ways of doing things or enhancing methods is progress in either direction.
This blog is created for those who want to create a brighter future for mankind. Any thought about how to save the world is a good idea, at least in the right direction. The only constraint is that the ideas cannot be destructive but constructive, we want to build, not destroy. You cannot say for example, "Mankind should be eliminated from the earth.", because this is conducive to destructive behavior. That being said, any ideas of how to save this planet?
